Delta Plus variant - Third wave of covid -19

   

    What is Delta plus variant ?

             The Delta variant of  COVID- 19 was first identified in India . The most  dominant strain globally as of now.  The emergence of the new  'Delta Plus'  mutation- designated as B.1.617.2.1.

            In India, there was taken 40 sample of COVID -19 about 22 of delta plus affected cases was found in that sample.  

            1. State in India:  Delta plus has been found in three states.  The variant has been found from Ratnagiri and Jalgaon districts of Maharashtra, Palakkad and Pathanamthitta districts of Kerala  and Bhopal , Shivpuri districts of Madhya Pradesh.  

            2. First Delta Plus case in India:      Madhya Pradesh, which has reported deaths of two patients whose samples tested positive for Delta Plus Variant. Madhya Pradesh has so far six cases of Delta Plus(B.1. 617.2.1) and 56 cases of Alpha variant (B.1.1.7).

               Delta Plus, a variant of Delta (B.1.617.2), has been categorised as a ‘variant of concern’ which resists monoclonal antibody therapy that produces artificial antibodies.

    Why has it become a global concern?

            A mutant variant of  SARS-Covid 2 is more transmissible and able to evade immunity.  It has already spread in 80 countries across all over the world. After finding the virus , which was spread fast in U.K,  U.S and etc.

            In India 10 state and 174  district affected in delta variant ,today Rajasthan, Maharashtra officially registered 1st case of delta variant by government.

    Symptoms of Delta plus variant:

          Symptoms for this variant include dry cough, diarrhoea, fever, headache, skin rash, discolouration of fingers and toes, chest pain, and shortness of breathe and etc. 

    Prevention :

• Keep social distance.
• Wear double layer protection mask.
• Avoid  going outside unless if it necessary.
• Using hand sanitizer to wash hand for every one hour.
• Vaccinated.
